Suryanar Koil – Surya (Sun)

This temple is built by the king Kulothunga Chola 1 in the year 1100 AD and this sacred temple is dedicated to the Sun God Surya who is worshipped as a god of health, success and prosperity. In the mid January the harvest festival is celebrated every year in honor of Surya. 

Thingaloor – Chandra (Moon)

This temple is dedicated to the Moon or Chandran is said in Sanskrit and Thingal in Tamil language. Chandran is the planet that eliminates your stress and sorrow. It is considered that once visit to this temple to grant a comfortable and long life. 

Vaitheswaran Koil – Chevaai (Mars)

This revered temple is dedicated to Ankarakan or Chevaai (Mars) and it is believed, if you pray to Ankarakan by heart then you will endowed with valor, victory and strength. Leading to the temple, the devotees first visit to the Siddhamrita tank. The water is considered to have the curative properties for various skin illnesses and it is also believed that visit here removes all the hindrances of married couples. 



Thiruvenkadu - Budhan (Mercury)

It is the oldest part of the temple that is nearly about 3000 old and it is dedicated to Budhan or Mercury this temple in Thiruvenkadu. This Budhan temple is said to give wisdom and intellect.
Alangudi – Guru (Jupiter)
Alangudi is that part of temple which is dedicated to the Guru Sthalam or Jupiter where Lord Dakshinamurthy is worshipped. This shrine attracts a large number of pilgrims from all over the world.  

Kanchanur – Shukran (Venus)

This renowned shrine is maintained by the Madurai Adhinam as well as it is linked with Shukran or Venus. The temple is situated in Thiruvaavaduturai, Tamilnadu and this revered shrine is referred to as Palaasavanam, Brahmapurai and Agnisthalam. Even, men visit here to pray for the well-being of their wives. 

Thirunallar – Shani (Saturn)

This is a shrine that is only dedicated to Lord Shani or Saturn. Devotees assemble this place during Sanipeyarchi when the planet transits between zodiac signs. The primary deities in this temple are Dharbaranyeshwarar (Shiva) and Ponmulaiyal (Parvati). According to legend, the king Nala was relieved from his hardships after worshipping here. 

Tirunageshwaram – Rahu

This huge temple is also known as the Rahu Sithalam. Lord Rahu, the serpents Adiseshan, Dakshan and Kaarkotakan worshipped Lord Shiva here. The principal deities are Naganathaswamy (Shiva) and Girigujambigai (Parvati). 

Keezhperumpallam – Ketu

It is an ancient Shavite temple that is also known as Kethu Sithalam. It is said that the persons who are affected by Kethu dosha, can be cured in this temple. The primary deities are Naganathaswamy (Shiva) and Soundarya nayaki (Parvati).
