Guruvayur Sri Krishna Temple is located in the city of Guruvayoor in Kerala, India. It is one of the most important places of worship for Hindus of Kerala.
Guruvayoor Temple is also called the Bhooloka vaikuntha - the heaven on Earth. The idol inside the temple represents a form of God Krishna with its four arms and one of them being carried a conch Pancajanya. It is one of the five famous Krishna/Vishnu temples in India. And a number of Hindu devotees come to worship here. Guruvayoor is the site for weddings and Annaprasanam, the first feeding ceremony of a child. The God Krishna’s idol looks very original and the reflection of light illuminate the whole temple complex. The Lord here appears in all radiance.
