Here Lord Muruga vanquished the demonic forces Soorapadama. Then it is the third temple of Palani. It is said that here, the sage Agasthya learned five grammar of Tamil language through Lord Muruga. Tiruverakam is fourth temple, where Lord Muruga gave updesha to his father, Lord Shiva and therefore known as Gurunath. Fifth house of Muruga is Kunduthoraadal, it was considered as the school of the thoughts and the sixth house of the series is Pazhamuthircholai. it is very beautiful temple situated at a very picturesque landscape.
